Crew Codex

As of 1.0.17 (2026-10-15)

Coral Keeper has 28 base crew types + 8 variants, and the lead individuals, the Reef Keepers, are 24 real crab species. This page is compiled from the game data.

How to read this

  • Cost: the number of Bubbles it costs to buy the card in battle (3 · 5 · 8), and also the type of deck slot (3 3-Cost · 3 5-Cost · 3 8-Cost).
  • Grade: within the same Cost, crew are split into Normal · Rare · Epic, shown by the glow color of the card border. Crew you get later on the Sea Route tend to have higher grades.
  • Weakness type: crew of the same type as the badge above an enemy's head (Pierce · Poison · Area · Boss) deal 1.5× damage. Crew with no type are marked "-".
  • Attack target: crew with no note attack the enemy closest to the coral first.
  • ★ Merge: 2 identical crew → ★2 (about 2.3× attack), 2 ★2 crew → ★3 (about 5.8×). The maximum is ★3.
  • Level (1-10): raised with crew cards and Shells. At Lv5, 8, 9 and 10, a special effect triggers with a 10%, 25%, 50% and 80% chance respectively.

How to get these crew

Ways everyone can get them (excluding exclusive-pack crew, and only crew you don't have yet)

  • Deep-Sea Chest (120 Pearls): guarantees 1 crew type you don't own yet. If you own them all, you get 30 crew cards.
  • Starter Pack (one-time purchase): 1 unowned 5-Cost or 8-Cost crew type + 300 Pearls + 30 crew cards + 3,000 Shells.
  • Arena win cards: when you win in the Arena (up to 5 wins a day), there is a low chance of a card for a crew member you don't have. Collect 5 and pay Shells to recruit it. The recruiting cost (Shells) is the base value per Cost (3 · 5 · 8-Cost = 800 · 1,500 · 2,500) multiplied by a grade multiplier (Normal ×1 · Rare ×1.5 · Epic ×2.4) and rounded to the nearest 100. For example: Anemone 1,200, Moray Eel 3,600, Anglerfish 6,000.
  • Sea Route trophies: for crew listed with "Sea Route trophies" in the tables above, you collect trophies to unlock the slot and then tap Claim yourself.
  • Reaching Deck Power: the Fiddler Crab (1,500), Sea Squirt (2,000), Octopus (2,800), Sunfish (3,300) and Horseshoe Crab (4,500) join automatically once your Deck Power passes the threshold.

  • They are not always on display in the Shop. They appear as 48-hour limited offers that show up occasionally after you clear a stage with 1 or more stars. In the Apps in Toss (mini-apps inside the Toss app) version, the amount includes VAT, so it differs by a few tens of won (for example: Sea Hare ₩990, Pistol Shrimp ₩2,970, Sea Turtle ₩4,950).
  • The Sea Hare, Pistol Shrimp and Sea Turtle are made a little stronger than regular crew so they are worth buying (the Sea Hare's ink spreads to nearby enemies, the Pistol Shrimp has a wider shockwave area, and the Sea Turtle taunts in the Arena).

Getting paid crew for free

  • Sea Otter: you can also collect it for free. 1 ad = 1 Sea Otter card (2 times a day), and 25% of Arena win cards are Sea Otter cards. Collect 30 cards and pay 3,600 Shells to recruit it. With 2 ads and 5 Arena wins a day, it takes roughly 9-10 days. The ONE store version gives you the cards instantly with no ads.
  • Sea Hare · Pistol Shrimp · Sea Turtle: for now, they can only be obtained through their exclusive packs, and there is no free way to collect them. They don't come from Chests, the Starter Pack or Arena cards either. (You can build a deck from the other 25 crew types without them. In the developer's bot measurements, even random decks built with no purchased crew won nearly half the time (49%) on Stages 5, 7 and 9.)

Variant crew (8 types)

These are "II" crew, which have a changed color and a different attack style from the base crew. You must own the base crew and claim them yourself in the Sea Route trophy slot. In a deck you can put only one of the base and the variant, and they share level and cards with the base crew. Their grade is Epic.

Reef Keepers (lead individuals, 24 real crab species)

A Reef Keeper is the lead crab that lives on the Mother Coral. It doesn't go in your deck and smashes 2 targets at once. When its gauge is full, it uses a Rage skill (skills come in 12 families × 4 grades: Normal · Rare · Epic · Legendary). They have a species, carapace width and color variants, and you collect them through egg hatching and Breeding.

  • How to get them: hatching a Shell Egg (1,200 Shells), Pearl Egg (60 Pearls) or Golden Egg (220 Pearls), ♂♀ Breeding, and having a stage boss join (fill 9 stars). Your first Shell Egg is free once, after you clear Stage 1. You have 3 nest slots by default, and unlocking the Deep-Sea Pass Premium adds 3 more.
  • Egg grade odds: Shell Egg: Common 75% · Rare 25% / Pearl Egg: Common 30% · Rare 45% · Heroic 22% · Legendary 3% / Golden Egg: Rare 35% · Heroic 55% · Legendary 10%.
  • Base color variant odds: Normal 93% · Blue 3% · Golden 2% · Albino 1% · Split 0.7% · Ghost 0.3% (rare variants appear more often depending on the egg type).
  • Paid Reef Keeper packs: Snow Crab Reef Keeper (₩29,000, a Heroic Snow Crab ♂ + 1,200 Pearls + 25,000 Shells), King Crab Reef Keeper (₩59,000, a Legendary King Crab ♂♀ pair + 1,500 Pearls + 40,000 Shells). They are limited offers that occasionally appear when you clear after Stages 3 and 5, and you can also get the same species for free through eggs, Breeding and stage-boss joins.
